Having taught previously at Scripps, Professor Hudde is already known to 5C students. His course “Popular Music: A Global Vision,” one of the department’s most popular courses during spring preregistration, nicely complements our other offerings in music. We’re delighted to have him with us!

As a cultural 和 social music researcher 和 教育者, I place music in dialogue with other fields in the humanities 和 social sciences because this approach generates holistic scholarship 和 pedagogy 和 enhances a diverse university community.

The range of my experience in higher education includes teaching diverse music courses at University of California, 洛杉矶, 斯克里普斯学院, Cambridge Centre for International 研究 (United Kingdom), New Engl和 Conservatory of Music 和 University of California, 河边(加州大学).

Two writings related to this research topic received second prize 和 an honorable mention from the Otto Mayer-Serra Award for Music 研究.
